Our Mission: The mission of the Human Ecology Alumni Association (HEAA) is to engage alumni in support of the College of Human Ecology, its alumni and students, and promote its purpose of integrating teaching, research, and outreach to improve global human well-being. The HEAA strives to enhance alumni awareness of the College's programs and research initiatives; to establish programs and provide support to the College, its students and alumni; increase alumni participation and student awareness of the alumni network; encourage student/alumni interaction, and encourage future participation in the Association. What We Do:
HEAA Committees: Alumni Affairs Committee - Identify opportunities to engage HE alumni with the Association and College, both on and off-campus, through the Annual Meeting and at least one other event per year (in conjunction with the Office of Alumni Affairs & Development). Communications & Marketing Committee - Identify ways to increase the visibility of the HEAA by working collaboratively with other committees to help market their activities and programs. Executive Committee – Comprised of the Officers of the Board, the ExComm periodically reviews objectives of and provides guidance to the HEAA Board and committees, and proposes future actions and programs in consultation with appropriate committees. Finance Committee – Maintain sound fiscal decisions regarding funding of Association activities; provide guidance and timely updates to Board committees via chairpersons. Honors and Recognition - Identify potential alumni nominees and solicit nominations for the HEAA's annual alumni achievement awards. Membership Committee – Oversee membership dues program. Nominations & Elections Committee - Solicit candidates for, review qualifications & prepare ballots of qualified candidates for Board of Directors and Officers annually. Student Affairs Committee - Identify opportunities for engagement
with and increased involvement of current students, in conjunction with
other committees as appropriate (i.e., Alumni Affairs) to include students
in events when possible. Solicit and review applications for Student
