Undergraduate StudiesHuman Ecology’s programs are organized around social issues and not simply academic disciplines. This allows our students to explore their interests in an interdisciplinary context and understand and analyze issues from various perspectives. Our eleven majors (each of the three options within Fiber Science & Apparel Design and Design and Environmental Analysis has its own curricular requirements) are firmly grounded in the social, natural and physical sciences, and design. All of our undergraduate programs result in a Bachelor of Science degree. In addition to classroom learning, experiential learning is another important part of the Human Ecology education. Most undergraduates participate in at least one internship/externship during their time here, and many more conduct research through our college departments and across the university. Study away programs also provide our students with outstanding real-world opportunities to apply what they have learned while on campus. We invite you to take some time and learn more about our programs and how they can be applied to your interests. |
